Panaflex Pain Relief Patch from GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK) is a medicated patch based on a unique hydrogel technology for muscle and joint pain relief. The most common areas that can be affected include the neck, shoulder, upper and lower back, as well as the weight bearing joints such as the knees and ankles. Muscle and joint pain can arise from over exertion of a group of muscle or from repetitive mechanical or physical work, such as working long hours at the computer or after a workout in the gym or a game of sport. It is also not unusual to feel some form of muscle and joint pain from standing or walking too long, according to Dr Kelvin Chew, consultant sports physician at Changi Sports Medicine Centre and Singapore Sports Medicine Centre, during the product launch event. Panaflex has a minty fragrance and its hydrogel base makes it stretchable, breathable and gentle on the skin.

Panaflex, from the makers of Panadol, is retailed at $2.95 for a box of two patches. It is available at all leading pharmacies, supermarkets and hypermarkets in Singapore.
