NTUC Health’s Silver Circle recognised

Its day and senior care cen­tres’ pro­gramme wins recent inno­va­tion award, and its home care ser­vices is a finalist.

NTUC Health received the Best Day Care Pro­gramme award and was a final­ist for the Best Tech­nol­ogy for Oper­a­tional Effi­ciency at the 5th Asia Pacific Elder­care Inno­va­tion Awards 2017 recently, which was held in con­junc­tion with the annual 8th Inter­na­tional Age­ing Asia Inno­va­tion Forum 2017.

NTUC Health’s Sil­ver Circle’s “Cel­e­bra­tion of Life” won the Best Day Care Pro­gramme award, which recog­nises the most dynamic centre-​based activ­i­ties and pro­grammes which improve the over­all well-​being for older adults. “Cel­e­bra­tion of Life” aims to pro­mote phys­i­cal inde­pen­dence, enhance men­tal well-​being and encour­age social inte­gra­tion for its seniors. There are cur­rently 23 Sil­ver Cir­cle day and senior care cen­tres across the island.

NTUC Health’s Care@home, which offers a com­pre­hen­sive range of home care ser­vices, was a final­ist for the Best Tech­nol­ogy for Oper­a­tional Effi­ciency award. Its “Work­force Assign­ment and Mobility” tool which helps sched­ule client vis­its, plan travel routes, and allows care offi­cers to bid for jobs on-​the-​go, was recog­nised as one of the best tech­nol­ogy inno­va­tions that improve pro­duc­tiv­ity, effi­ciency and qual­ity of ser­vice offer­ing for operators.

Called the ‘Oscars of the elder­care indus­try’, the Elder­care Inno­va­tion Awards recog­nises organ­i­sa­tions in the Asia-​Pacific region includ­ing Aus­tralia, Japan and Hong Kong, that demon­strate elder­care inno­va­tion in their busi­ness, oper­a­tional and ser­vice mod­els to change the way older adults age. Other Sin­ga­pore win­ners included: ECON Health­care Group for Best Geri­atric Health­care Oper­a­tor and Best Reha­bil­i­ta­tion Oper­a­tor; and TOUCH Home Care for Best Home Care Operator.

NTUC Health’s Silver Circle’s “Celebration of Life” programme aims to promote physical independence, enhance mental well-being and encourage social integration for its seniors.

NTUC Health received the Best Day Care Programme award and was a finalist for the Best Technology for Operational Efficiency at the 5th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards 2017 recently, which was held in conjunction with the annual 8th International Ageing Asia Innovation Forum 2017.

There are currently 23 Silver Circle day and senior care centres across the island.

Its “Workforce Assignment and Mobility” tool which helps schedule client visits, plan travel routes, and allows care officers to bid for jobs on-the-go, was recognised as one of the best technology innovations that improve productivity, efficiency and quality of service offering for operators.

Called the ‘Oscars of the eldercare industry’, the Eldercare Innovation Awards recognises organisations in the Asia-Pacific region including Australia, Japan and Hong Kong, that demonstrate eldercare innovation in their business, operational and service models to change the way older adults age. Other Singapore winners included: ECON Healthcare Group for Best Geriatric Healthcare Operator and Best Rehabilitation Operator; and TOUCH Home Care for Best Home Care Operator.
