Lonely Planet publishes three cruise ports guides to Alaska, Scandinavia & Northern Europe, and the Caribbean.

Cruise travel is on the rise. The CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) 2018 State of the Industry Report has projected that 27.2 million people around the globe will take a cruise in 2018, and stated that the volume of Asian cruise travellers has quadrupled since 2012.

For the first time, travel media company Lonely Planet has published three cruise ports guides – namely to Alaska, Scandinavia & Northern Europe, and the Caribbean – to help travellers discover the best onshore experiences.

Featuring colour maps, highlights, reviews and tips on how to save time and money, cruise ports guides help travellers personalise their cruise experience and are written by Lonely Planet’s cruise travel experts. Whether traveling solo, as a couple or a family, each book features all you need to know to plan your trip – from essentialinformation to local life and cultural insights to month-by-month events.

In addition to the best shopping, eating and things to do in each port, cruise ports guides offer advice on how to choose the right cruise for you. Whether you are an experienced or beginner cruiser, you will have everything at your fingertips for you to lay back and enjoy your cruise.
