A call for senior heartland ambassadors to give tours of Punggol and HDB’s Gallery.

Punggol Waterway, which is part of the tour of Punggol Eco Town.

The Housing & Development Board’s (HDB) Community Relations Group is currently recruiting senior volunteers as guides for their Heartland Ambassadors Programme for Seniors (HAPS). HDB is looking to recruit senior volunteers age 55 and above who love interacting with people and sharing their stories.

These selected heartland ambassadors will be conducting tours at HDB’s Gallery located in HDB Hub in Toa Payoh. They will be introducing community members to the HDB Gallery as well as share their personal stories about living in HDB towns.

The heartland ambassadors will also be conducting tours of Punggol Eco Town where they will share about stories of Punggol, its current developments and the common interests of the residents.

The ambassadors will be able to indicate their availability against the tour schedule provided by HDB. To equip the ambassadors for the tours, they will each be given a goodie bag containing an ambassador T-shirt and a cap. Training will be provided for the ambassadors.

Those who are interested to apply can contact – programmes@hdb.gov.sg – for a registration form.
